HPS Hight Pressure Sodium Fixtures

Our new fixture design provides a number of substantial improvements to the P.L. Lights/Hortilux Lights Systems line of HPS lighting. The refined ventilated aluminum body enables the ballast to run cooler than ever before which adds increased dependability to the internal components. The compact extruded design greatly reduces the blockage of incoming natural sunlight. A new mounting collar adds support and durability to our reflectors while easing assembly and maintenance time.

Our line of reflectors have been enhanced and expanded to offer you the greatest range of product use. In ddition to our Medium, Deep, Wide and Superwide reflectors we are proud to introduce the Midi and 1000W reflectors. This full compliment of reflectors allows us to offer you an expanded range of custom designed layouts.

Reflectors
by P.L. Lights/Hortilux Lights Systmes

P.L. Lights/Hortilux Lights Systems are leaders in the design of super efficient reflectors. Sound lighting depends strongle on the way light is distributed. P.L. Lights/Hortilux Lights Systmes offers six reflectors each with very high output. These include: deep reflecting types - the Deep and the Medium; and wide reflecting types - the Wide and Superwide. In addition to these we offer the Midi which combines the good light qualities of the Midium and the high output of the deep reflectors.

Finally the latest addition to our family of reflectors the new 1000W reflector. All reflectors are mode out of one piece and their uniformity guaranteed. This provides superb light distribution and uniformity of the light over the crop. The reflectors are mode of pure aluminum and have been high polished and anodized. The microscopic small facets at the surface provide a diffused light pattern and keeps the deposit of dirt down to a minimum. A new mounting collar has been developed which provides customers with enhanced durability and ease of maintenance.

All reflectors are suitable for 150W, 250W, 400W 430W, and 600W bulbs. The 1000W reflector is specifically designed for the high output 1000W bulbs.

1. Midi Reflector
   • Specially designed for the modern greenhouse to allow you to work with one row per bay in 26' and 32' bays.
   • For suspension heights over 6' depending on the required light level.
   • Remarkable performance in 21' bays as well.
2. Medium Reflector
   • Designed for a more rectangular illumination field.
   • Suitable for mounting heights over 6' with a maximum distance of 21' between rows, depending on the light level required.
3. Deep Reflector
   • Designed for a square illumination field.
   • Deep penetration of light into the crop.
   • Suitable for a height of 5' depending on the light level required.
4. Wide Reflector
   • Designed for a more rectangular illumination field.
   • Suitable for mounting heights between 4' and 5' depending on the light level required.
   • May be equipped with one of two mirror diaphragms to optimize light distribution.
5. Superwide Reflector
   • Designed for a more rectangular illumination field.
   • Suitable for very low mounting heights between 3' and 4' depending on the light level required.
   • Provided with a standard screen to optimize light distribution.
6. 1000W Reflector
   • Designed for a more rectangular illumination field.
   • Best performances at a mounting height at 8' or higher depending on light level required.
   • Deep penetration of light into the crop.

Standard Features on all Metal Halide Fixtures include:

• Fitted tempered glass reflector covering.
• Heat dissipating extruded aluminum body with ventilation openings to allow for maximum cooling.
• Compact body reduces shading effect.
• Available in 120, 208, 240, 277, 347, and 480 volts.
• C.S.A and U.L. approved.

Optional Features:

• 40OW model comes standard with the medium reflector for maximum light intensity and uniformity.
• 1000W model is equipped with a new specially designed 1000W reflector to produce the maximum light intensity and uniformity.
